It’s the spring of 1846 and a family of nine mockingbirds watches as strange people arrive from the east. As the treaty is signed and Fredericksburg takes shape, the fledglings leave their parents’ nest to make their homes alongside the pioneers. With this children’s book as your guide, find where these friendly mockingbird sculptures have landed on Main Street and learn some of the art and history that set our town apart.
